Mathieu Merlet Briand was born and raised in Paris. He is interested in the influence of the internet in the perception of our reality. Through his abstract works, he seeks to translate our sensitive experience and our collective imagination. His works question the digital materiality. Through his algorithms and recycling processes he develops, in analogies to nature, he shapes data flows in order to create tangible materializations. Abstractions, relics, crystallizations or fragments of the World Wide Web, his work materializes mainly in digital painting, sculptures and architectural installations.
